Building artists from the ground up.

Training, collaboration, and performance in the Dallas area.

Why Groundworks?

Groundworks Collaborative Theater is a Dallas-area theater company dedicated to rigorous training, ensemble-driven collaboration, and the development of meaningful theatrical work. GCT creates space for artists to learn, practice, and perform together.

We offer theater education alongside educational and professional productions, bringing developing artists and experienced theater-makers into shared rehearsal rooms and classrooms. Our work emphasizes collaboration, care, and long-term development, valuing process as much as performance.

Groundworks is designed to complement school theater programs, offering additional opportunities for exploration, practice, and production beyond the school setting.

Education & Training

Our training is serious, supportive, and joyful. We believe theater education should challenge students while still being fun—not because the work is easy, but because doing meaningful work well is deeply satisfying.

“I had the privilege of working alongside Eric as both a colleague and collaborator on multiple productions. Eric is a master at building meaningful relationships with students and instilling confidence in young artists. He creates an environment where students feel valued and empowered to grow, leading with a rare combination of professionalism, creativity, and genuine kindness.” -Theatre Educator & Collaborator

Productions

Groundworks is a producing theater company creating educational and professional productions that bring artists of different experience levels into shared practice. GCT focuses on showcasing new and under-produced works.

A Collaborative Community

Theater does not exist without its audience. At Groundworks, artists, educators, and audiences are collaborators in the life of the work.
