Training
At Groundworks Collaborative Theater, education is rooted in collaboration, curiosity, and disciplined practice.
Our classes are designed to supplement school theater programs, offering additional space to explore craft, deepen skills, and engage in sustained rehearsal-based work.
Foundations of Theater
Foundations of Theater is an introduction to acting and ensemble work designed for students who are new to theater or early in their training. Students explore the fundamentals of performance through games, improvisation, movement, voice, and basic scene work.
This class is designed to be taken more than once. Most students benefit from at least 2–3 cycles before advancing.
Scene Study & Performance
Scene Study & Performance is designed for students with prior theater experience who are ready to apply technique in rehearsal-based work. Participants work on scenes drawn from plays, focusing on listening, objectives, relationship, and truthful connection.
This class supports students who are active in school theater programs and want additional space to deepen their craft.
Advanced Scene Study is a practice-focused class for experienced artists seeking sustained collaboration and deep engagement with text, process, and ensemble responsiveness.
This class is best for advanced high school students, college students, and adult performers with prior experience.
